Websites or online services directed to children under the age of 13 that collect personal information from children or websites that cater to general audiences and have knowledge that they are collecting personal information from children must comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.

The information (email address) is used solely for logging user into our site to participate in forums, to vote in our contests or to answer email enquiries.

Yes, the user can log into their account and under "edit" press the "Delete Account" button. This will completely remove the email address from our database, and change the identity of any posts that were previously made by the user to "deleted user."
Entrants to the contest can request their information be removed by emailing editor@regionalmapleleaf.com. Entrants who request removal of their information prior to the end of the posted contest will eliminate themselves from the contest. All personal contact information with the exception of login information is deleted at the end of each contest.
